Welcome to my Teddy Bear Themed Nursery!
It may not come as any surprise, but my inspiration for this nursery was this gorgeous plaid green wallpaper! As soon as I saw it I knew that I had to create a boys nursery using this wallpaper. This green, preppy, plaid wallpaper adds a special charm and playfulness to the room. It gives you the feeling of being a traditional yet timeless room.
When I think of babys, I often think of teddy bears and stuffed animals so I wanted to design a cozy, moody nursery filled with lots of bears. You can see the bear touches within the room with the bear baskets, bear artwork, stuffed animals, and my personal favorite the bear kids chair. To keep with the moody theme, I decided to add in a dark wood crib and dresser. These are great afforable options if you are on a budget, but still want a nice crib and dresser. We have this brand of nursery furniture in our current baby nursery and love the quality of them. The brass knobs on the dresser are also a nice touch that gives the dresser more of an old traditional look. I love mixing patterns within rooms, so I think this vintage-inspired rug adds the perfect amount of texture to this plaid room without making it feel too overwhelming. This rug helps to warm up the room and it gives it a more traditional lived in feel. The beige velvet curtains also add a little more texture to the room. I decided to keep the curtians lighter to brighten up the room a little more. Like in my Classic Cowboy Nursery, I decided to add in the leather rocking chair again. It is such a unique piece that can be used in so many different ways! This allows you to see different themes and styles that you can incorporate the same pieces within. I thought that the baby bear blanket and bear stuffed animal were a nice touch on the leather chair. Some of my favorite parts of this nursery are the artwork. All of the bear artwork is so sweet and was sourced all from Etsy. I love how the mountain artwork works well with the color of the plaid wallpaper. It uses a lot of similar colors found in the wallpaper while also drawing your eyes to the artwork itself. Adding the wall sconces beside the mountain artwork give this a more sophisticated and mature look. This is great if you want a nursery or kids room that your baby will be in for many years. I also designed another view of the Teddy Bear Nursery so you can get more ideas of decorations or furniture that you can add to your own nursery. This corner shows a cozy kids bear chair next to wallshelves. Babies love books, so it would be sweet to have a spot where the baby/kid can go to and read their own books. The wall shelves here are great if you want to be able to hang items like clothes on or use them as just bookshelves. It is always nice to have different options and ways to use items when picking out furniture and decorations. I hope you enjoyed seeing my Teddy Bear Nursery Room. It was so fun mixing textures and patterns to create a special Room! I have the links below for this room!
