A lamp can really add so much charm and character to any room. There are so many different styles of lamps everywhere which can sometimes feel overwhelming. I think when choosing a lamp it is important to think of the overall finish and style you are going for in the room. Do you want more of a traditional lamp with brass metal? Or a modern lamp with a black or bronze finish? When you can figure out the vibe you are going for it can help you to narrow down your lamp selection.
I found some nice options that would work in any style of room! Amazon has so many great afforable floor lamps. I narrowed it down to a few of my favorite. I personally LOVE traditional brass floor lamps and I think that they would look great in any room. I have the far left floor lamp in my own home and it is beautiful lamp! I think the other brass, traditional floor lamps would be great options as well! The black lamp is so unique and would be great if you want to bring in more modern touches to your home. The best thing about lamps is that you can change the lamp shade and give it a whole new look! Pleated lamp shades are a trend that I am loving right now. The pleated lamp shade I found below would look great on any of these floor lamp options. If you want to add in more color to your room, you could also use a colored lampshade. The options are endless! I have attached some floor lamps from Amazon below!

Who doesn't love a good candle? I personally love candles as I think they add a nice touch to any room. They are great for decorating mantles, shelves, tables, the list is endless. I have been loving colorful and floral candlesticks right now. They look so good in any room and they add a nice pop of color to your decor.
I have found a few different candles that I think would look great in any home. I currently have the floral pressed candlesticks from urban outfitters and they are even prettier in person! They look beautiful in brass candlestick holders. Thrifting brass candle holders are a great way that you can find affordable holders. Amazon also has a lot of great candle holder options. Pastels are having a moment this spring. I have been loving pastel colored candles. I think the lavender and different colored ribbed candlesticks are so pretty! The ribbed details add another fun and unique touch to these candles. Bubble candles are another unique trend I have been seeing with candles. The option I have included comes in a lot of different colors. They would be a fun candle to add to your collection!
Welcome to my Teddy Bear Themed Nursery!
It may not come as any surprise, but my inspiration for this nursery was this gorgeous plaid green wallpaper! As soon as I saw it I knew that I had to create a boys nursery using this wallpaper. This green, preppy, plaid wallpaper adds a special charm and playfulness to the room. It gives you the feeling of being a traditional yet timeless room.
When I think of babys, I often think of teddy bears and stuffed animals so I wanted to design a cozy, moody nursery filled with lots of bears. You can see the bear touches within the room with the bear baskets, bear artwork, stuffed animals, and my personal favorite the bear kids chair. To keep with the moody theme, I decided to add in a dark wood crib and dresser. These are great afforable options if you are on a budget, but still want a nice crib and dresser. We have this brand of nursery furniture in our current baby nursery and love the quality of them. The brass knobs on the dresser are also a nice touch that gives the dresser more of an old traditional look. I love mixing patterns within rooms, so I think this vintage-inspired rug adds the perfect amount of texture to this plaid room without making it feel too overwhelming. This rug helps to warm up the room and it gives it a more traditional lived in feel. The beige velvet curtains also add a little more texture to the room. I decided to keep the curtians lighter to brighten up the room a little more. Like in my Classic Cowboy Nursery, I decided to add in the leather rocking chair again. It is such a unique piece that can be used in so many different ways! This allows you to see different themes and styles that you can incorporate the same pieces within. I thought that the baby bear blanket and bear stuffed animal were a nice touch on the leather chair. Some of my favorite parts of this nursery are the artwork. All of the bear artwork is so sweet and was sourced all from Etsy. I love how the mountain artwork works well with the color of the plaid wallpaper. It uses a lot of similar colors found in the wallpaper while also drawing your eyes to the artwork itself. Adding the wall sconces beside the mountain artwork give this a more sophisticated and mature look. This is great if you want a nursery or kids room that your baby will be in for many years. I also designed another view of the Teddy Bear Nursery so you can get more ideas of decorations or furniture that you can add to your own nursery. This corner shows a cozy kids bear chair next to wallshelves. Babies love books, so it would be sweet to have a spot where the baby/kid can go to and read their own books. The wall shelves here are great if you want to be able to hang items like clothes on or use them as just bookshelves. It is always nice to have different options and ways to use items when picking out furniture and decorations. I hope you enjoyed seeing my Teddy Bear Nursery Room. It was so fun mixing textures and patterns to create a special Room! I have the links below for this room!
Remember when wallpaper was outdated and everyone wanted just white and grey walls. Over the past few years I have been seeing a lot of wallpaper used in Nursery's and I am here for it! I personally LOVE wallpaper in Nursery's. I think it creates a lot of visual interest and personality in a room. It is also so fun for babies and parents to look at. I believe wallpaper transforms a room into something so unique and special to your home. You can wallpaper just one wall, multiple walls, or all of them. In my Pretty in Pink Room I designed it with all of the walls wallpapered.
When I think of a little girls room I think of pink, flowers, and butterflies. I wanted to create this baby girl nursery incorpating these elements. For all of my pink lovers, this is the nursery for you! This wallpaper caught my attention because of its beautiful floral details. I like how it doesn't feel too overwhelming or too dark. It has the right amount of detail, but also feels very elegant and bright. Adding in butterfly artowork helps to draw your attention to other details in the room. All of the butterfly prints are sourced from Etsy and I think that they would look so sweet in any little girls nursery or room. This brass crib is one of my favorite crib styles ever. It is such a timeless crib that would look good with so many different styles and nursery themes. Incorporating brass and gold really help to warm up this nursey which is why I chose brass accents like the brass mirror, brass frames, and brass floor lamp. The pink curtains and pink rug add more touches of pink throughtout the room. I wanted to keep the rest of the furniture more neutral so I chose white and off white for them. I think that the white dresser is perfect for this room and it is really a unique piece. I love the knobs and little ornate details on the drawers. The cream rocker and ottamon would work great in any nursery. I personally have this rocker in my sons nursery so I can attest to how soft and comfortable it is. This was one of my favorite purchases for my sons nursery. I highly reccommend investing in a good and comfortable rocker as you will use them very often! This rocker also comes with with an ottamon which is so nice if yo need additional space to store toys and nursery items. The white side table also is a great addition to the pink nursery. I have similar side tables in my own home and think that they are perfect to fill small spaces and put little treasures on top. The lamp shown in this nursery is a traditional classic brass lamp. I have this is my current nursery and love the finish and look of it! The brass mirror would also work great in this nursery. Mirrors are a great thing to put on a wall if you don't want artwork on every wall. Plus babies love to look and see themselves in mirrors! This is another view of the Pretty in Pink Nursery. This allows you to see more decoration ideas for this nursery.
I think that this is the sweetest little corner in the nursery. When I found the pink canopy I thought that it would work great in this room. It would be such a fun spot for babies and kids to play in with their toys and stuffed animals. This would also be a fun little reading nook for kids. I thought that a wall shelf would be perfect next to the canopy. This wall shelf is great because you can hang stuff on it like clothes as well as store your favorite baby books and stuffed animals.
I hope you enjoy my Pretty in Pink Nursery! I had so much fun creating it! I have linked the items in the room below if you are interested in any of them!
Howdy y'all! This year I have seen so many Cowboy trends in fashion and home decor. This is my take on a Classic Cowboy nursery
I always like to start off my designs by finding a unique decoration or piece of furniture to build the rest of my design around. For this room I found the cowboy curtains and decided that these would be a great thing to design the room around. I wanted to create more of a moody timeless nursery design. I decided to opt out of picking just a white wall color and instead chose to add a pop of color to the walls. Navy blue always has my heart, so when I found Sherin Williams Naval Blue, I knew it would look great in the nursery! It adds a timeless and classic look to this room without being too overwhemling. This color also allows the patterned cowboy curtains to really stand out more.
My favorite piece in this cowboy room is the leather chair. As soon as I found it I knew that it would fit perfectly in the cowboy room! Leather furniture would look great with so many different room styles. It makes me want one for my own home! The classic dark wood crib and dresser also works well in this nursery. I have found that dark wood never really goes out of style! I personally have this crib, in the lighter color, in my sons nursery and it has held up great and is an afforable option. The dark wood six drawer dresser would be a great piece if you are looking for a dresser with a lot of storage space! I wanted to do a lighter more neutral rug to brighten up the room a little more. I loved this plaid, woven, sand colored rug when I found it. I thought it fit in with the cowboy and horse theme as it reminded me of sandy roads that the cowboys used to ride on. I adore the horse and cowboy art which was sourced from Etsy. Etsy has a really great art print selection and I often go there to buy vintage and nursery art prints. My favorite are the six sadle prints. I thought that these were so unique for the cowboy room. The vintage horse print also caught my eye and I knew that it would look great in this nursery. Any kind of vintage art is always a win in my book! The curtains have some red in them so when I found this red side pedestal table I knew it would add just the right amount of color to tie in with the curtains. I have this current side table in my own home and it looks great and has held up well over the years!
I also created another view of a Cowboy Nursery. This will help you to get more ideas and envision what you could put in other corners of a nursery.
The teepee shelf also is such a unique piece of furniture for the Cowboy nursery. It would be perfect to store books, stuffed animals (like the ones you see), or any other baby products on. Babies love anything with color, pattern, or that moves. The horse mobile would be another great addition to the nursery. You could even hang it over the crib if you prefer! Books are also great to have in the nursery, so the wooden wall shelves would be perfect to put on any wall. Wall shelves are great if you don't have a lot of extra space as you can still have a way to display those special baby books. I also highly reccommend storage baskets for nurseries as they are an easy thing to throw blankets, toys, stuffed animal, etc in.
The last thing that I found to add into this nursery were the sweetest little baby cowboy boots that you see on the dresser. I thought that they were so adorable and would look so sweet on any baby! I hope you enjoy the Classic Cowboy Nursery as much as I do and I am so happy to have you here. So long for now! Links below of the Classic Nursery Room: ![]()
I had to start off with the special Nursery I created for my little guy. My favorite room in our current house! I wanted to create something special and unqiue for him. With so many different themes and designs to choose from it was hard to know where to start. I found these mini colored hot air balloons and fell in love with them right away! I knew that I needed to create a hot air balloon nursery for my son.
We currently were not able to paint the walls in the home, however we were able to paint the trim. I wanted to add a little more color into my sons nursery so my husband and I decided to paint the trim a baby blue color. I think it adds just the right amount of color and interest into the room. I LOVE anything plaid espeically in boys rooms! This rug was perfect and paired well with my hot air balloon theme as it reminded me of the woven basket of a hot air balloon. I struggled with finding curtains that I liked and that went well with the room. These cream and blue plaid curtains I found from Target were perfect and help to tie in the blue trim and plaid together in a more subtle way. The wood crib and dresser are really nice pieces of furniture. They have held up well and are good afforable options. My favorite metal is brass, so I wanted to add touches of brass details into this nursery as you see in the brass handles on the dresser, brass traditional floor lamp, and brass frame and art light. I think that brass really helps to warm up a room and give it more of that homey feel. Another piece of furniture, (and my favorite purchase for our nursery) is this rocker. It is so spacious and comfortable. I would highly reccommend investing in a good rocker as you will be using them a lot! This particular rocker also comes with an ottaman which has been so nice for extra storage space as our room isn't super big. In my opinion, no room is complete without artwork! I wanted to add more artwork that went with my theme so I found the hot art balloon and cloud art sourced from Etsy. Etsy is my go to for artwork prints as they are afforable and easy ways to add more color to your walls! Another decoration that I love in this nursery is the hot air balloon musical mobile. We play the musical mobile over the crib almost every night! I hope you love this nursery as much as I do! If you want any of the links I have attached them below the design.
