Howdy y'all! This year I have seen so many Cowboy trends in fashion and home decor. This is my take on a Classic Cowboy nursery
I always like to start off my designs by finding a unique decoration or piece of furniture to build the rest of my design around. For this room I found the cowboy curtains and decided that these would be a great thing to design the room around. I wanted to create more of a moody timeless nursery design. I decided to opt out of picking just a white wall color and instead chose to add a pop of color to the walls. Navy blue always has my heart, so when I found Sherin Williams Naval Blue, I knew it would look great in the nursery! It adds a timeless and classic look to this room without being too overwhemling. This color also allows the patterned cowboy curtains to really stand out more.
My favorite piece in this cowboy room is the leather chair. As soon as I found it I knew that it would fit perfectly in the cowboy room! Leather furniture would look great with so many different room styles. It makes me want one for my own home! The classic dark wood crib and dresser also works well in this nursery. I have found that dark wood never really goes out of style! I personally have this crib, in the lighter color, in my sons nursery and it has held up great and is an afforable option. The dark wood six drawer dresser would be a great piece if you are looking for a dresser with a lot of storage space! I wanted to do a lighter more neutral rug to brighten up the room a little more. I loved this plaid, woven, sand colored rug when I found it. I thought it fit in with the cowboy and horse theme as it reminded me of sandy roads that the cowboys used to ride on. I adore the horse and cowboy art which was sourced from Etsy. Etsy has a really great art print selection and I often go there to buy vintage and nursery art prints. My favorite are the six sadle prints. I thought that these were so unique for the cowboy room. The vintage horse print also caught my eye and I knew that it would look great in this nursery. Any kind of vintage art is always a win in my book! The curtains have some red in them so when I found this red side pedestal table I knew it would add just the right amount of color to tie in with the curtains. I have this current side table in my own home and it looks great and has held up well over the years!
I also created another view of a Cowboy Nursery. This will help you to get more ideas and envision what you could put in other corners of a nursery.
The teepee shelf also is such a unique piece of furniture for the Cowboy nursery. It would be perfect to store books, stuffed animals (like the ones you see), or any other baby products on. Babies love anything with color, pattern, or that moves. The horse mobile would be another great addition to the nursery. You could even hang it over the crib if you prefer! Books are also great to have in the nursery, so the wooden wall shelves would be perfect to put on any wall. Wall shelves are great if you don't have a lot of extra space as you can still have a way to display those special baby books. I also highly reccommend storage baskets for nurseries as they are an easy thing to throw blankets, toys, stuffed animal, etc in.
The last thing that I found to add into this nursery were the sweetest little baby cowboy boots that you see on the dresser. I thought that they were so adorable and would look so sweet on any baby! I hope you enjoy the Classic Cowboy Nursery as much as I do and I am so happy to have you here. So long for now! Links below of the Classic Nursery Room:
